M starts summer programme

M Leuven launches the 'Summer at M', a well-filled programme of family activities, afterworks, music and top international exhibitions. From a new museum café to the re-launch of the ZoMerbar to the music and culture festival M-IDZOMER. The summer of M’, that means PARTY.
"Our extensive summer programme runs from 2 July to 28 August in M's garden and halls. During the opening weekend, M will present its new museum café: Barbóék in M. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the atmosphere with a cake and coffee surrounded by books. Our Museumspelstraat lets families participate in creative activities," says Denise Vandevoort, alderman for culture and chairwoman of the board of M.
Peter Bary, general manager of M Leuven, adds: "You can cool down and dream away in our refreshing museum rooms while strolling through our ongoing exhibitions 'Wael Shawky', 'NaufusRamírez-Figueroa' or 'Open M'. One of our collection presentations 'Take your Time' or 'The Ten’ will help you relax and enjoy the quiet. Our covered public terrace will be transformed into ZoMerbar where visitors can have a chat with each other over a summer drink and a view of our garden."
The ‘Summer at M’
From 2 July to 28 August, the 'Summer at M' runs in M’s garden and halls. Every Thursday evening there are afterworks with free live performances by INUIT. You will find our ZoMerbar on the terrace. Musical acts lets you enjoy their best performances during M-IDZOMER from 28 to 31 July. Families are welcome in the Museumspeelstraat where they can play to their heart's content on the barefoot path, the climbing wall or with life-size toys.
Practical
Every Thursday evening, entrance at M is free. The ZoMerbar opens at 5 pm and the free live performances start at 8 pm. Every Saturday between 2 pm and 5 pm, there are creative activities available on the Museumspelstraat, except during M-IDZOMER. The programme will start on 2 July with 'Acrobatic touring and soap bubbles'. M will close the summer with a great final party on 27 August. Discover everything on mleuven.be/summer-of-m
