Quiet, there’s studying going on here!
M Leuven opens its doors to students during the exam periods
Students looking for a quiet place to study during the exam period can come to M Leuven from Monday 5 June to Sunday 25 June, including free admission to the museum itself and voluntary activities for some relaxation.
"To make the exam period a bit nicer for students, M is happy to welcome them to the museum. They can make use of all sorts of facilities and ways to relax here and find much-needed peace in the quiet rooms. For great coffee and a tasty cake, they can go to Barbóék at M and they can go for a relaxing walk in our garden or tour our expos. But they are responsible themselves for great marks on their exams" says Bert Cornillie, alderman for culture and chairman of M's board of directors, laughingly.
Studying and relaxing in the museum
The Platform is a specially equipped area in the museum that every day offers a quiet place to study for up to 60 students. The quiet room is equipped with Internet, loads of sockets and free fresh water. During breaks, M provides relaxing break activities, from yoga sessions in the museum garden to slow-art tours. Every activity last about 20 minutes and are completely voluntary. Students can also visit the exhibitions for free and at their own pace.
