M Leuven opens its doors to more visitors

Relaxing Covid rules at M Leuven

From now on, M Leuven is relaxing its Covid rules. "The focus is on group tours for adults and more visitors per hour. The recommended visitor route and time slot reservation will remain in effect. A review of the new rules will take place on 5 September.”

Denise Vandevoort, alderman for culture and chair of the M Board, is already pleased with the relaxations: "After a year full of serious challenges such as the repeated temporary closure of the museum and making M available digitally, it's a relief to see M recovering with strides. Groups can be received completely safely."

M is committed to welcoming visitors in a safe environment. "We have drawn important lessons from Covid. Time slots and the recommended route has been well received by our visitors, so we will keep that," says M’s General Manager Peter Bary. "As of now, we can host up to 100 people per hour. M has enough space to accommodate visitors comfortably and respecting the distance rules." You can book a time slot online via mleuven.be or at the reception desk in M.

Chair Denise Vandevoort: “In addition, group tours are again possible for up to 15 adults per guide, both in M and St Peter's Church. The same applies to guided tours for children, but with extra care to keep them as separate as possible from other bubbles or individual visitors, for example by visiting the museum before opening hours. Time slots can be booked for this too, and M's audience supervisors will have an extra briefing to help monitor the distance between the bubbles.”

Guided tours can be booked via the M website: www.mleuven.be/en/group
