Experience art without a facemask
M Leuven and St. Peter's Church without facemasks

As of Thursday, October 7, you can now visit M Leuven and St. Peter's Church without wearing a facemask as it is no longer mandatory in the museum rooms and the church. You may, of course, continue to wear a mouth mask if you so wish. Disinfectant gel remains available throughout the museum for visitors.
“M carefully complied with the Covid rules and will still do its utmost to keep the our visitors’ experience as pleasant as possible," says Denise Vandevoort, chair of M's board of directors and alderman for culture. "Facemasks were necessary, and we recently decided to err on the side of caution by keeping facemasks mandatory a little longer. We can offer our visitors enough space, even in exhibition rooms that are a bit smaller, such as the focus room around 'The Seven Sacraments' by Rogier Vanderweyden. If visitors prefer to wear a facemask, then of course they can, but there is no obligation to do so."
Cleaned carefully
Sophie Verhulst, head of the public relations department, adds: "You can feel the relief of both visitors and staff. The HoloLens and tablet in St. Peter's Church are still cleaned carefully and M’s audio guides are also still being disinfected. We are not abandoning all hygienic rules just like that: disinfectant gel remains available and the leaflets with extra information about exhibitions are also available digitally. To M, it remains important that you can experience art at your own pace and according to your own needs.
